Powered by an Intel Xeon E-2336 6-core processor with AES-NI encryption acceleration and 32 GB DDR4 ECC memory (expandable to 128 GB), it combines 12 x 3.5" SATA 6Gb/s bays and 6 x 2.5" SATA 6Gb/s SSD slots for HDD/SSD hybrid storage and SSD caching. The unit offers 2 x 10GBASE-T and 2 x 2.5GbE RJ45 ports (backwards compatible), 4 x USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-A ports, and flexible PCIe Gen4 expansion (3 slots) for additional NICs, NVMe/QM2 adapters, or Fibre Channel. Shipping with QNAP QuTS hero (ZFS-based) and compatible with QTS, it provides data-integrity features such as inline deduplication, compression, near-limitless snapshots (large snapshot capability), SnapSync, and QSAL.
