It connects via a high-bandwidth InfiniBand expansion cable and supports 3.5" and 2.5" SATA drives (SATA III / 6 Gb/s). The RP model includes dual 500 W redundant power supplies for automatic failover, three 80 mm cooling fans, and power/hibernation features that sync with the attached RackStation. Managed from Synology DiskStation Manager (DSM), the RX1217RP enables online RAID/volume expansion and can serve as an additional local backup destination. Package includes the main unit, accessory pack, expansion (InfiniBand) cable and AC power cords. |
