It features dual redundant 500 W hot-swappable power supplies, 4 x 1 GbE ports (with link aggregation/failover), 2 PCIe Gen3 expansion slots for 10GbE NICs or M.2 NVMe cache adapters, and 2 x USB 3.0 ports. The system runs Synology DiskStation Manager (DSM) with the Btrfs file system and supports RAID 0/1/5/6/10, Basic, JBOD and Synology RAID F1. Delivering up to 189,098 4K random read IOPS and up to 4,718 MB/s sequential read throughput (with appropriate networking), it can scale to up to 36 drive bays using two RX1217(RP) expansion units.
