    DescriptionEaton EMP Gen 2 (EMPDT1H1C2) is an external environmental monitoring probe for rack enclosures that collects temperature and humidity readings and provides two dry-contact status inputs for additional sensors. The module reports data via SNMP or a web browser (HTTP) and supports 1 x 1000Base-T (RJ-45) wired Ethernet connectivity. The probe features a translucent case with an integrated LED status indicator and multiple mounting options (nylon fastener locations, magnets, cable tie slots, keyhole slots and tie-wrap mounting for front/rear door perforations). EMP Gen 2 modules can support up to two external contact sensors each (e.g., water-leak, door contact, vibration or smoke detectors) and can be daisy-chained — up to three probes per host device for expanded monitoring. Alarm status can be reported in real time via SNMP/browser and can generate email notifications when integrated with compatible Eaton management systems.
