    DescriptionThe ioSafe 218 is a 2-bay, Synology-powered NAS designed to protect on-premises data from fire and water while providing full NAS functionality. This 6TB configuration ships with two 3TB standard NAS drives and runs Synology DiskStation Manager (DSM) for remote access, file syncing/sharing, collaboration apps, surveillance and photo management. The unit is built to ASTM E119 fire standards (protects data up to 1550°F / 30 minutes) and protects drives when fully submerged in fresh or salt water up to 10' for 72 hours. Hardware highlights include a 1.4 GHz Realtek RTD1296 quad-core processor, 2 GB DDR4 RAM, one Gigabit Ethernet port (Wi-Fi via optional dongle), two USB 3.0 Type-A ports and one USB 2.0 Type-A port, 92 x 92 mm cooling fan, and support for 3.5" and 2.5" SATA HDDs/SSDs. The 218 supports RAID 0, RAID 1, Basic, Synology Hybrid RAID (SHR) and JBOD and includes a 60W AC power adapter (AUS plug).
