Carefully engineered for low to medium RPM 120mm fans, there is minimal air resistance between the Mega Shadow's fins allowing the best balance between noise output and cooling performance. The heatpipes are lined up in a straight line to prevent air back draft allowing air to easily pass through the heatsink body, massively improving airflow efficiency in comparison to other heatsink designs on the market today. Wide gaps between the fins with mathematically calculated thickness maximizes the air-to-surface cooling ratio. The Mega Shadow kit includes high grade thermal compound and a universal backplate to support all current Intel sockets. The Mega Shadow also comes with two sets of fan clips for a push-pull dual fan configuration. Please note the Mega Shadow CPU cooler does not include a fan - we suggest a separate purchase of Noctua's 120mm NF-P12-1300 or Thermaltake's 120mm AF0018 pressure orientated fans for optimal cooling performance. This cooler has easy-to-install retention mechanisms for Intel sockets LGA775, LGA1156 and LGA1366.
